Norway indie-pop crew Kid Astray offer up shimmering new song "Joanne"
Sandvika-formed collective Kid Astray are back in our lives - now signed to Sony Music Norway - with effortlessly effervescent new single "Joanne".
The song follows last year's "Roads" and "Fall To My Knees" offerings, and sees the quintet pit bright synth lines, guitar flutters, and Mew-esque falsetto against each other. "Joanne" is sunny and optimistic with a chorus that radiates warmth from every chirp and blip - this is a promising step into Kid Astray's next chapter.
"'Joanne' was one of the first songs we wrote after a long hiatus and it's a fresh touch for us all," the band tell us. "It's been a long process, many things have changed, and we really appreciate that our fans are being so patient with us. We're really proud of this tune, and hope you all like it!"
