East Cambridgeshire’s Nervous Conditions share “The President”
The young noise collective are making riotous music for the post-milk generation.
Nervous Conditions sit somewhat uncomfortably between Nordic lounge and energetic post-punk, covering every possible genre combination in between. This ever-changing line up of 18 - 22-year-olds from Cambridgeshire are part of a new breed of young British bands who embrace the immediate relevance of hip-hop and urban music whilst acknowledging the importance of old-timers like The Fall and Springsteen.
New track “The President” follows debut offering “Village Mentality” which was lauded by critics for its chaotic but coherent nature. “The President” builds on that idea of organised chaos, employing improvisational techniques from ‘70s Germany and trad jazz to build a sound that is entirely new.
