Mush quell your indie rock hunger on "Eat The Etiquette"
Memphis Industries-signed Leeds foursome Mush announce their forthcoming debut album 3D Routine with the release of their new single "Eat The Etiquette".
Following on from this year’s EP Induction Party - a languid yet spiky amalgamation of slacker rock - Mush drop the first teaser from their forthcoming debut album 3D Routine. Honing in on their own brand of punk-tinged indie, new single "Eat The Etiquette" has all the earmarks of cult post-punk bands such as Parquet Courts as well as coattail-chasing upstarts Feet and Squid.
Channelling a similar vibe, "Eat The Etiquette" sees Mush delve deeper into their not-so-undone sound with pinpoint precision. Opening with a barrage of clashing riffs, the guitar work clamours for attention before slipping into an urgently propulsive frenzy with a delectable groove at its core.
Described by vocalist and songwriter Dan Hyndman as “a bit of a stream of consciousness type rant”, the latest effort by the Leeds band delves into “common” and “manufactured sense” being used as a societal weapon to keep the common folk in line and maintain structures of wealth and power. It’s also a bit fun!
