Theme Park seem to have graced our pages as much as any other band this year. Their Byrne-indebted pop has proved a nice tonic to a tumultuous 12 months.
‘Milk’ was the track that piqued the collective interest first, and it remains the strongest track. In this beautifully produced rework frYars has drawn out the calypso element on which the original rests, and woven it into a looming, minor key construction – gilded with the vocodered vocal without which no 2k11 remix is complete.
Theme Park play The Line Of Best Fit’s Ones To Watch 2012 show at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen next month. More details here.
