Glaswegian duo Conquering Animal Sound are as glacially detached, as unsettlingly frail, as any act you might expect to hear on Leeds label Gizeh. Their debut album, Kammerspiel, was a fragile, brittle record that at times made for an uncomfortable listen.
This month the pair are releasing a re-recorded version of Kammerspiel standout ‘Tracer’, along with an excellent selection of remixes. The track, which sees vocalist Anneke Kampan “speeding through the snow”, is characteristically wintry – but FOUND‘s reworking gives it swung drums and a thick, bass-led buildup.
‘Tracer’ is out on Gizeh on 20th June. In the meantime, download the FOUND remix below.
