What do you suppose is the correct inflection when saying ‘Class Actress‘? Is the emphasis on the Class, or on the Actress? I like to imagine that it’s Class Actress, as in ‘oh aye, Judi Dench is a class actress.’
You’ve probably heard ‘Keep You’ before – it’s the one with the horribly catchy ‘Keep you in my heart’ chorus. But, in typically abstruse fashion, London duo Walls have entirely done away with the hook. In fact they’ve done away with virtually the entirety of the track, preferring to construct eight minutes of looming, housey excellence that, for one reason or another, instantly brings to mind Holden’s remix of ‘The Sky Was Pink’.
Class Actress’ debut album Rapprocher is out now on Carpark.
