Model Man amp up the chemistry on atmospheric new track “Ketones”
Multidisciplinary brothers Model Man reach new heights with their new single “Ketones”.
Duo Mark and Rob Brandon's delicate synths and jilted vocals take the track to a laid-back, soothing place of ethereal euphoria, despite the production process being anything but: Mark was so consumed in creating the track that he fasted his body of fuel. This created a low-glucose effect of his body breaking down fats for energy and creating the track's namesake: ketones.
Model Man are a creative force in the electronic music world, using Foley recordings and real-world recordings on the track. “We’re recording continuously and some of the recordings go back 10 to 15 years,” Model Man say. “We used a lot of airport and station sounds to capture our movements.”
With pianos at the heart of their sound, “Ketones” offers a cohesive lift from this summer's “Alone”. The track will soon be paired with beautiful visuals directed by the duo themselves.
