Margate trio Soma World release their debut single "Strange Dreams"
Born from a road trip the three members of Soma World embarked upon around LA, "Strange Dreams" is a cinematic slice of electronic pop taken from their forthcoming four-track EP
Enveloping and packing a wide soundscape full of fading vocals and disparate instrumentation, Soma World create music that invites total immersion. Like other newcomers to the genre, such as The fin., they pack their sound with a wide array of sounds that merges into a singular block of noise, glistening with occasional vocal and instrumental flourishes that result in something quite beautiful.
"This song was written in a very dark room with the volume turned up," Soma World tell us, "and we hope you'd experience it in the same way."
Currently residing in Margate, the trio have recently purchased an old pet store that specialises in reptiles. Maintaining the name of ‘Reptile Club', they intend for it to become a creative space from which both the public can come and visit and they ran run their label from.
