It’s entirely fitting that UK-born Tamsin Wilson has based herself across the pond – the sound of Wilsen is one that posits an elegant translation of Laurel Canyon by way of English folk-pop.
Debut single ‘Anahita‘ dropped back in February and the follow up, ‘Dusk’, finds a release next week. It’s a track that skirts purgatorial ground, forever in a lulling slow-build to some understated darkness. Ominous and charming at the same time, ‘Dusk’ is taken from Wilsen’s self-recorded, self-released debut mini-album Sirens.
Listen below to the track, released on 10 June and complimented by a more-than-serviceable take on Grimes’ ‘Oblivion‘.
