Listen: The Embassy – International (Global Mix) [Premiere]
Riding off the back of Sweet Sensation, The Embassy’s most focused and accessible album to date, the influential Gothenburg duo and self certified pop hooligans return today with a fresh mix of LP track ‘International’ that they’re releasing as a single along with new song; the entirely instrumental ‘E-Culture’.
The Embassy were, and continue to be, the epitome of cool. Their music steeped in English pop traditions – a dash of Factory Records here, a pepper of Sarah Records there – all tied together by a very Swedish sense of style and a knowing arrogance. Over a decade into their career, Fredrik Lindson and Torbjörn Håkansson continue to define and influence a generation of pop purists that crave something that little bit more indulgent.
With this updated version of ‘International’, the six minute downbeat epic has been tightened up to a more radio friendly four minutes. Listen exclusively below.
