Listen: Monument Valley – Walking Home
Back in April we were treated to the first fruits of new material from Monument Valley, the alias of songwriter Ned Younger, with the stunningly sparse love letter to London ‘When I Go Clear’. Younger returns today with a perfectly apt follow-up track that also sees the return of Kerry Leatham (Peter & Kerry, Lapalux) on guest vocal duties.
If ‘When I Go Clear’ was the sound of a sleep deprived soul meandering the streets of London, ‘Walking Home’ is a paean to friendship and how the walk home after a heavy night out can unexpectedly be more memorable than the night itself.
Another step in the right direction for this young and untapped talent. Stream ‘Walking Home’ below.
