Midlands electro/bass producer Sam Manville has been honing his craft under the FTSE moniker for a little while now and this latest vowel-defying release entitled ‘CNT HLP MSLF’ demonstrates his most acute refinements thus far.
A booming kick drum and now customary vocal sample open proceedings but it takes those jagged snare whips to really ignite ‘CNT HLP MSLF’. Melding rasping percussive sounds with crystalline synth loops, slick part-vocoded vocals and calming keyboard sequences; FTSE has crafted a shimmering anthem to soundtrack both downtime and dancefloor.
