Listen: Farao – Forces [Best Fit Premiere]
We’re thrilled to be able to bring your the first ever glimpse of a brand new artist today in the shape of Farao – the pseudonym of Norwegian born, London based singer-songwriter Kari Jahnsen.
Having spent the majority of 2012 playing club shows around the UK, Jahnsen today reveals her debut offering ‘Forces’. Although recorded late last year in the wintry climbs of Oslo, ‘Forces’ possesses a comforting warmth throughout its five delicate minutes. Fingerpicked guitar and hushed, shuffling drums drive the song along whilst Farao’s sweet honey toned vocal brings the bittersweet melancholy.
Produced by Mike Lindsay of Tuung, ‘Forces’ is the first taster from Farao’s forthcoming EP – due for release later this year whilst a debut single is expected in April.
