LANY tease hotly anticipated debut album with the amped-up swagger of "Good Girls"
It's just a teaser track, but it's a damn good one. "Good Girls" is the first new material from LANY's forthcoming self-titled debut album set for release this June.
Following a video announcement from a balcony in Australia where the band began their world tour in support of the album, frontman Paul Klein, confirmed LANY will be released on 30 June. He also announced the release of today's new music "Good Girls" and that three further tracks, "It Was Love", "The Breakup", and "13", would precede the release of the 16-track full-length due this summer.
LANY began releasing music at the beginning of 2014 dropping double single "Hot Lights"/"Walk Away" which was swiftly followed by the Acronyms EP featuring "ILYSB", the only previously released track to make it onto the album. More EPs followed as the band perfected their minimalist pop-meets-guitar&B sound, and with I Loved You., compilation EP Make Out, and then kinda last year, the band had already released at least an album's worth of material.
"Good Girls" picks up where the kinda EP left off last summer. With kinda the aim was to soundtrack the summer of 2016 and if "Good Girls" is anything to go by the album could see the band soundtrack their second summer. Building on their recognisable sound and relatable lyrics, the new track confirms their album could be one of the most exciting debuts of the year.
