Krusoe reveals his brooding benefaction on new track "Rivers Run Riot"
Krusoe is quite the jam juggler when it comes to playing with your senses.
Fusing an urban, atmospheric soundscape and whisper-like vocals, Krusoe is the perfect distance between tension and tenderness, and his Oxfordshire charm is only the beginning.
Trying to tackle the madness of love, Krusoe begins "Rivers Run Riot" with a consistent, echoey beat, blending into his soft vocals and creating a submerged soundscape that oozes with conflicting thoughts of constriction, confusion and complete adoration for the feeling of love.
The track presents a powerful pace, racing through fears and metaphorical madness as if in the middle of a high-speed car chase.
The underlying softness of the track is undoubtedly beautiful, with Krusoe's velvety vocals slinking effortlessly through the otherwise busy soundscape.
The glitchy electronica that makes subtle appearances throughout is like sitting on the edge of a building, exhilirating yet haunting at the same time. Krusoe guides that fear to safety, directing us through the confusing madness that is love.
"Rivers Run Riot" is taken from Krusoe's forthcoming EP Give Up The Coast, out 14 October.
