Multi-disciplinary creative Kojey Radical reveals his darker side on “If Only”
Kojey Radical returns with a powerful new single inspired by his personal demons and creative processes.
2017 saw East London rapper Kojey Radical release his critically acclaimed third album In God’s Body and embark on a headline tour, selling out venues as far afield as Australia and South Africa as well as a triumphant hometown show at London’s Village Underground. Now he’s back with single “If Only”, a new offering that marries his trademark unapologetic lyrics with driving beats and intelligent production.
Speaking about the track Kojey said “Despite how easy it is to keep up appearances I struggled with depression heavily last year. I came out the other side more hungry and more passionate because the ability to create and express myself literally saved my life. This year I want to make the most empowering music about my sadness. I want people to not be afraid to feel. I want people to use my music as a safe place and feel energised. Some times being able to speak up can make all the difference"
