Australia's Kllo (formerly Klo) continue their ascent with another nu-garage gem, "Walls To Build"
We were very much taken with duo Klo (now known as Kllo) in 2014 with their breezy, multifaceted nu-garage track "Under Lie".
Now off the back of a storm of praise for recent single "Bolide", Melbourne cousins Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul present "Walls To Build": a creeping beast that unfurls balmy synth wobs beneath Kaul's dreamy falsetto and buoyant, skippy beats.
"This was the first track we started working on after our debut EP and was the last to be finished," the pair says.
"We found it was the most difficult one to write for us, with the creation of 28 different versions. 'Walls To Build' is about fear of vulnerability."
"Walls To Build" is taken from Kllo's forthcoming EP, Well Worn, released on 5 August via Ghostly International (North America), [PIAS] Different Recordings (UK/Europe/Japan) and Good Manners Records (AU/NZ/ROW). Pre-order available now.
