Kadhja Bonet's new offering "Another Time Lover" plunges into a warped, retro-tinged world
The LA-based muti instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Kadhja Bonet delicately traces over distorted electronica and soft vocals in new track "Another Time Lover”.
Kadhja Bonet arrived on the scene in 2016 with her debut The Visitor. Now, in 2018, she returns with the third track lifted from her sophomore album Childqueen.
Following on from her previous single "Mother Maybe", new track "Another Time Lover" blends subtle distorted electronica with her delicate vocals, as it daintily morphs into a retro-tinged track.
Moving seamlessly between contagious basslines and near psychedelic synths, the LA multi instrumentalist journeys through a dramatically delicate sound that warps wonderfully through soulful 'oooh's', showcasing her ability to craft multiple instruments to her advantage.
Speaking about her new track, Bonet stated, "“Bored with your partner? Escape to a fantasy. 104% guaranteed to be better than the real thing.”
Her new album Childqueen was recorded across two years in multiple cities across Europe, including Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam and more.
