KAASI unveils the seductive "Those Days" along with "Rain" from new EP, Tramuntana
We’ve been fans of Matthew Martin aka KAASI for some time now. Three attention-grabbing tracks appeared last year and now the 21-year-old production maestro has unveiled two tracks from his new Tramuntana EP, out 2 June on his own ANNOA Records. "Those Days" is Song Of The Day.
Once again Martin utilises beautifully uplifting, loungey electronic work to form a bed for gorgeous hypnotic vocal samples. Calling on the vocal talents of Zoe Wrenn who features throughout the EP, the project is developing into the kind of intelligent chillwave that garners deserved support across the web. It has the quality to make an effortless ascent towards the mainstream as we float into summer.
"Those Days" in particular showcases KAASI's enviable knack for creating refined electronica with a mainstream leaning. Along with “Rain” the track constitutes a deliciously listenable, seductive and moreish extended player from a new talent who's already enjoyed the Odesza seal of approval in the shape of a support European tour slot.
