London-based Honey Lung sound submerged in gritty grunge with new offering “End Of Time”
"We wanted 'End Of Time' to make you feel like you're fifteen again and listening to The Smashing Pumpkins for the first time", explain newcomers Honey Lung.
Initiating their electrifying, fuzz-fuelled guitars is part of Honey Lung's charm, and once under their spell, the infectious shoegaze is difficult to shake off.
"The song isn't about lyrics", they explain, as "Jamie [vocals, guitar] generally rambles different variations of them every time, but instead it is an intense rush of nostalgia."
The raging riffs present a trio with confidence, wanting to replenish the guitar scene with their scuzzy sound. By blending baggy basslines and obstinate percussion, Honey Lung manage to ignite a sound as infectious as Yuck's debut.
"End Of Time" is "like you're driving late at night with your best friend because you have nothing better to do", state Honey Lung.
You can't blame the London-based trio for reminiscing on rebellious teenage years, as "End Of Time" is undoubtedly an adrenaline-fuelled track that places Honey Lung on the map.
