Listen: GRRL PAL - "Dare" [Premiere]
Our new friends from Australian duo GRRL PAL “Dare” you to come out and play on their latest single, premiering exclusively on Best Fit.
“Dare” was inspired by an evening of spin the bottle while under the influence and everything about the sound perfectly captures that mixture of adolescent excitement and potent substances. Danny K’s spacey synths are stretched and layered over a stomp-clap beat that has us dancing like the club’s goin’ up on a Monday morning. Vocalist Jay Le Kat has never been more playful than she is here, transitioning masterfully from flighty rhymes to the flirtatious hook.
“Come with me”, Le Kat beckons, her voice shifting pitch suddenly and masterfully. Dare you to say no.
