In October of 2014, singer-songwriter Gordi debuted her luminous indie-pop visions with the single “Nothing’s As It Seems”. The Sydney, Australia-based artist continues to blend acoustic indie-pop and gentle electronic flourishes with new single “Taken Blame”, premiering today on Best Fit.
As with Gordi’s previous work, the jangly, breezy melody of “Taken Blame” is infused with real warmth and character. This is deeply nostalgic music that takes ragged remembrances of the past and spins them into something new. Rather than maintaining a static existence or wallowing in past versions of self, the lush sounds of “Taken Blame” gently affirm and celebrate reaching toward brighter horizons.
“Taken Blame” is available now for streaming.
