Gil The Kid is the emerging project of Washington, DC-based artist Gil Wojcik. Most notably known for existing as one half of synth-pop duo PLOY, Wojcik has since, in his lonesome, ventured into conscious sonic territory with his inception of Gil The Kid.
Proving dreamy yet pensive, “Talking To Myself” manifests melodic coos atop trickling synth and driving percussive additives.
Sounding much like what one might know and love from PLOY, Gil The Kid amalgamates introspective lyrics (“I can’t seem to make my mind work”) with uptempo basslines to create soundscapes worthy of transnational ears.
