Swedish/Swiss songwriter Fred Nicolas returns with carefree pop earworm "C'est La Vie"
After dazzlling us with the hopelessly romantic "Lennon Loved Yoko" earlier in the year, Fred Nicolas returns with another smooth and uplifting pop jam.
Not to be mistaken with the B*Witched track of the same name, "C'est La Vie" is a summer-tinged pop song that further exemplifies Fred Nicolas' knack for finding beautiful and relentlessly charming melodies.
The track sees Nicolas face the fact that some things just aren't meant to be and sometimes it's best to face the truth and move on. There is hope to be found in his delivery though, as the song weaves through the signature hooks that form the basis of the song and rise to euphoric heights as the earworm chorus blasts in.
Explaining the meaning behind the track, Nicolas says “The idea for "C'est La Vie" rose from the fact most people, at some point in life, have to bid farewell to their hopes and dreams. The song is written from the perspective of coming to terms with that brutal self-examination.”
Having previously spent five years as a songwriter and producer for hire, it is becoming more and more apparent that Nicolas is more than ready for his time in the spotlight.
