After evolving from a solo artist to a four-piece last year, Ontario native Linnea Siggelkow, or L.S. (hence Ellis) has released the soothing “Something Blue”.
Describing her music as “emo dream pop”, Ellis writes music which is low-key and luscious, making her mark internationally after garnering support within Toronto's DIY scene.
Steeped in warm Slowdive-esque shoegaze tones and remedying yet melancholic melodies, Ellis' new track reflects on life lessons learned through regrets.
"I think everyone has a moment that they wish they could time-travel back to and have a do-over,” says Siggelkow. “This song is about mine. Hindsight can be a real bitch."
“Something Blue” is out now and the physical release of her EP The Fuzz is out 22 March through Fat Possum. Ellis will play at The Islington on 8 May. Find Ellis on Facebook.
