Dolce go blissfully psychedelic on new track "Säg Nåt Vanligt”
Swedish duo Dolce have given us the first taster from their forthcoming debut album Av Liv och Grönska.
The duo of Anna Levander and Leopold Nilsson have already released their debut EP Gröna Höjder and this new track continues their fine run of making lush psych-folk songs.
"Säg Nåt Vanligt” ("Say Something Ordinary"), produced with Mattias Glavå, showcases Levander's stunning vocal style: an almost flat, deep delivery, but no less striking for it. It contrasts beautifully against the bucolic strums, openly jazzy drums and uplifting runs of flute which place this track firmly in the '60s.
Far from pastiche, Dolce are the flipside of Dungen's crazed psychedelia and their debut album promises more light touches such as this.
