"Late Awakening" is a sedative. Awash with foggy guitar and ethereal vocals, DIV I DED absorb you into their shimmering web of sound.
As swathes of ebullient guitar chime throughout, the band appears almost sardonic alongside the melancholic plea of "please get me away from here/I’m dying". Viktorie Marksová’s dream-pop vocals slide with ease through a translucent wall of sound.
This bitter-sweet juxtaposition nods its head firmly to Creation Records with its unmistakeable shoegaze influence.
DIV I DED’s debut album Born To Sleep is released on cassette/digital formats on 17 July via Fleeting Youth Records.
