Denai Moore airs frosty rendition of "Hours" by FKA Twigs [Premiere]
Denai Moore's cover of "Hours" by FKA Twigs is our Song Of The Day.
Moore has also shared a few words on the cover:
The original version of "Hours" features on LP1, Twigs' lauded debut record from 2014. While her version is full of crackling, off-kilter Twigs-isms that are eerie and sensual in equal measure, Moore plumps for a different route, with frosty ambience and guitars underpinning a bold vocal line. Bass thwacks occasionally interject, but mostly this is a delicate take, transient and lace-thin, that thrives on a deliberately frail set of textures and bouts of anxious silence. It's a gripping listen.
Moore's debut record Elsewhere was released in April 2015.
