Dauwd – Whats There // Song Of The Day #364

This has been on repeat for a few days now. Dauwd is one of the most exciting producers to appear this year, his stunning track ‘Shimmer’ having soundtracked many late nights and early mornings across the capital and beyond.

‘Whats There’ picks up where ‘Shimmer’ left off. Much like the rest of Dauwd’s work it has a distinctly aqueous feel; like the music one imagines Steve Zissou’s cool DJ son would be listening to. And, of course, there’s the production – stunningly well captured sounds that brim with soul, despite their crystal clarity.
