Danny George finds galactic soundscapes with dazzling debut track "Close To You"
UK producer Danny George is finding his own groove after producing for other artists. "Close To You" is his debut, and sees the producer find a wholesome, intricate, and playful sound.
Danny George is finally stepping into his own world, having produced for other artists such as Ayelle and Malory over the past two years.
"Close To You" is a sensational snapshot of all the complex components that George builds upon, progressing to a peak of layered vocals and infectious electronica.
The track emits a mix of nostalgia in its lyricism as it deals with relationship issues, which contrasts charmingly with the many layers of instruments and vocals used to put this track together.
Speaking about his debut release, George explained, "The lyrics focus on a story of two people with a selfish longing for each other, that aren’t willing to give anything back in return. In a way, it borders on the topic of addiction and destructive co-dependency."
The galactic soundscapes from the synths bring a sense of loneliness to the bustling track. Even when the vocals progress to its peak, the harmonies add a sense of emptiness, and almost leave a haunting feeling. The track is soon turned around by the bubbly synths that bring the track to a close.
