Daedelus is more crazed alchemist than musician. He calls himself a ‘full-time dandy’ – a moniker to which his stage attire certainly gives testament. Remarkably hirsute, he attacks his sequencer as if he wants to break it apart, hair flying everywhere.
It’s strange, then, that his forthcoming 12th (count ‘em) album Bespoke is a pretty enticing, friendly affair. It’s hugely entertaining, and hugely energetic – and certainly not the saw-wave aggression that one might expect from his live shows. Instead, it is as perfect a soundtrack as you could hope to have for as sunny a day as this.
Today we’re very pleased to give away the first single from Bespoke, ‘Tailor-Made’ – remixed by LA producer TOKiMONSTA. It’s available for download here for the first time, courtesy of Ninja Tune.
