In all the excitement about another Ninja Tune-released remix, this passed us by on Friday. Star Slinger, a man who has an apparently bottomless reserve of earwormy melodies, has taken on ‘Overwhelmed’ – a standout from Daedelus‘ excellent Bespoke.
In Star Slinger’s hands the track, which features vocals courtesy of American neo-soul man Bilal, becomes a dizzy, synth-stab heavy workout; the sort of track that one hopes Justin Timberlake will start releasing again, once he has got bored of appearing in shit films.
‘Overwhelmed’ is out next month, and also features a rework from new Ninja Tune signing Raffertie.
