Count Counsellor releases downtempo post-party track “Open Eyes”
“Open Eyes” is the sterling follow up to Count Counsellor’s “Friends”, taken from the forthcoming EP "& The Friday Friends".
Ethereal bliss, brazen pop hooks and dance music fundamentals all collide in Count Counsellor’s new offering “Open Eyes”. A surprising sample of Boyz II Men fits perfectly alongside the warped vocal line whilst joyous synthesis gives one a feeling of profound contentment.

Nods to artists varying from Fela Kuti to Paul Simon make their way into Counsellors very distinctive sound, making “Open Eyes” a triumphant homage to ‘80s themed cocktail parties, night bus rides and lycra. Bloody splendid.
