CID RIM recruits Samantha Urbani for future-pop single "Repeat"
Austrian multi-instrumentalist and electronic maestro CID RIM (real name Clemens Bacher) has unveiled a new collaboration with Samantha Urbani.
Urbani contributes to "Repeat", a new taste of Bacher's upcoming debut record Material. Bacher has been working his magic for a while now as a producer, remixer, and solo artist, but on this first taste of his long-awaited solo record he pulls the big guns out.
"Repeat" is a trippy knot of tangled rhythms and trance-like electronics, with flickering Caribouisms blasted across jazz-influenced percussion. Urbani's flawless voice drifts through shimmering waves of noise, grounding the noise and refusing to let it get too far from reality - it's a 10-tonne beast of a track that'll have you up and moving in an instant.
Urbani, the former frontwoman of Friends, recently released her own solo debut - the excellent Policies Of Power EP.
