Watch: Cabane - "Sangokaku" [Premiere]
Cabane is the new project by songwriter Thomas Jean Henri, a Belgium songwriter who has previously collaborated with Kate Stables from This Is The Kit
His first release is 'Sangokaku', an incredibly melancholic number of layered vocals built upon a tangle of guitar and strings. The vocals feature Bonnie Prince Billy, Kate Stables and Caroline Gabard (Boy & The Echo Choir) as well as string arrangement by Sean O’Hagan (Stereolab).
The video sees the singer's loved ones react to hearing the track for the first time. It's emotional, humbling and, just like the track, there is more there than meets the eye.
"Sangokaku" is available on 7'' by Need No Water records in the UK.
