Big Wild welcomes you into a care-free world with playful, funk-fuelled single “City of Sound”
Having accumulated over 191 million streams throughout his career so far and working with artists such as Tove Styrke and TroyBoi, American producer and vocalist Big Wild (aka Jackson Stell) is no stranger to writing songs that make you want to move. “City of Sound” follows suit perfectly.
“City of Sound” is an exuberant movement of tight percussion pushing driving funky disco riffs beneath the carefree vocal that's characteristic of Big Wild. The track comes as the lead single from Big Wild’s forthcoming debut album Superdream, which is in itself an entitlement to the diverse set of music that he as an artist is capable of creating.
Commenting on his forthcoming album, Big Wild said, “Superdream was inspired by a need to create music that was a greater reflection of who I am now, leading me to feature my voice and songwriting as the main focus for the first time ever, which came from a very instinctual and subconscious space.”
“With Superdream, I created a surreal music environment that challenges & pushes not only my own personal boundaries, but also those of my contribution to electronic music. It marks a new chapter in my music, one that is more ‘me’ than anything else I’ve released.”
