Bells Atlas release the soulful and hypnotic “Sugar For The Queen”
Bells Atlas is a four-piece band hailing from Oakland, California. Their new single “Sugar for the Queen” settles right into a deliciously hypnotic groove that draws upon a mesmerizing blend of soul, jazz and indie-pop influences.
The track’s frenetic energy serves as a bold backdrop for Sandra Lawson-Ndu and Doug Stuart’s intertwined vocals. Their performance becomes the smooth, crystalline focal point in the song’s continually shifting, kaleidoscopic mix of drums, bells and bass.
“Sugar for the Queen” is the lead single from the newly released Hyperlust EP, available now for download via Bandcamp. Visit the Hyperlust website for a free random song download from the EP, which was recorded by Jacob Winik and produced by Bells Atlas at Zoo Labs.
