Listen: BARLI - "Reach For Me" [Premiere]
Newcomer BARLI emerged last month with her hypnotic debut, “Pebbles”, and managed to quickly rack up a healthy 9,000+ plays on Soundcloud. That’s certainly no mean feat for a spanking new artist, and today we are delighted to premiere her new song, “Reach For Me”.
It’s clear there is far more talent to be tapped away at on her latest track (produced by Ton Epoch). Lying somewhere between electronic minimalism and neo-soul, BARLI slowly pulls all the song’s downtempo beat loops and darting synth lines into rank with an enviably commanding boom. The afforementioned genres, however, don’t quite do it justice. “Reach For Me” somehow sits alone in its own place, unperturbed by comparisons, powerful in the knowledge of its unique existence. Honestly, we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
