Azekel impresses again with "Mad About The Boy" from his forthcoming RAW, Vol.1 EP
We've been somewhat enamoured with Azekel since our first introduction back in February 2013. Since that debut outing, the London native has dripped-out a string of increasingly impressive tracks signalling his intent in the exciting world of UK RnB.
With the smoother than silk vocal we're becoming used to taking centre-stage, this new track - the first taster from his 7-track RAW, Vol.1 EP - is another progression. Twitchy, almost garage-esque production jumps out, punctuated with scatter-gun percussion and a warbling bass line that holds the groove immaculately.
Calling on the vocal of fellow Londoner Shanaz Dorsett to add a call-and-response seduction and elegance, it's another seriously strong release from an artist going from strength-to-strength and securing a lot of fans in the process.
Streaming below as our Song Of The Day, it's safe to say we're "Mad About The Boy". The single drops via local indie label Thunderlighting Recordings on 12 July.
