Listen: Aywy. - "Cocaine" feat. D.B.
Beatmaker Aywy. is a Sydney resident and signed to newly established Australian label Flow-Fi. Crafting hip-hop beats with a smoky jazz finish, he lends from Submotion Orchestra’s “All Yours” and Shai’s “If I Ever Fall In Love” for new cut, “Cocaine”.
The beginning builds on a looped sample of Shai’s slow-jam, a subdued atmosphere complimented with passionate vocals from the sombre Submotion Orchestra sample. Aywy. quickly changes it up though with a guest appearance from upcoming Indianapolis rapper D.B.’s broken-up flow becoming smoother as the track evolves. This cut sounds like it came from Brainfeeder and that could be the label Aywy. is headed towards if he carries on making similar material.
