Ashe unleashes enchanting pop wonder "Real Love", the final single to come from her debut EP
Having already worked up a reputation for her feel-good brand of technicolour pop, "Real Love" sees Ashe venture into anthemic new pastures.
Opening with twinkling guitars and Ashe's angelic vocals, "Real Love" is one of those perfectly uplifting summer-tinged songs that encourages you to forget your troubles and revel in the good things in life, as she sings "when you get a hard knock / Take it with a smile / Get by."
In her own words, Ashe puts the song's sensibility in perfectly simple terms, as she says "'Real Love'’s about life being both good and fucked and we’re in the mess together." With its psychedelic harmonies and intertwining harmonica interludes, there's a sixties-inspired, 'summer of love' thing going on that only heightens the feeling that Ashe is in this mess with us.
As the chorus explodes into a kaleidoscope of mesmerising colour and joyous flamboyance, growing with festival sing-along spirit, Ashe ensures that whatever mood you started listening to this song in, you'll finish it feeling a whole lot better.
