ARO VANA's debut is experimental pop at its darkest and most potent
At only 18 years of age, ARO VANA is creating wildly ambitious pop music that you really need to take note of.
ARO VANA means business. On her debut track "XVII" she skilfully exerts her lyrical aptitude, where the words seem to flow freely and are delivered with a mesmerising authority that asserts ARO VANA's confident entrance in a way that completely demands your attention.
The deep pulsating beats are intoxicating and are repeatedly pierced by ARO VANA's biting lyrics as she snarls "We always got to break first", almost spitting as she throws her accusations and questions forward.
The track is the first song on ARO VANA's debut 3-track release entitled Origin, a collection of songs that explore her struggles with depression, relationships and break ups and further exemplifies her advanced skill and ability to create startingly original pop music.
Every song that ARO VANA writes is deeply rooted in her own personal experiences, as she explains "an origin is the beginning of everything, and so it is with this. Each song represents a piece of the basis of why I write; for the love, for the mind, for the experiences, be they dark of light - the acceptance of both within us is what makes us human. It's okay to have dark thoughts."
