Ardyn air colossal title track from new EP, "The Valley"
Following the hype of their 2015 debut EP Universe, Katy and Rob Pearson have released the eponymous single from their new EP, The Valley. It's an ever-growing alt-folk hymn made for driving down the sinuous roads of the English countryside.
Starting off with gentle piano notes, the track soon builds up into a brooding, overpowering giant of a song that absorbs its strength from the lingering melancholia of Katy Pearson's vocal work and slow, repetitive drum lines.
“The Valley” functions as a hypnotic and symbiotic follow-up to their previous track "Over the River", released back in April. The Pearson siblings are back again, and this is their war song.
Ardyn’s The Valley EP is now available now via Aesop. Find Ardyn’s live dates on the band’s website.
