Rising R&B talent Amun has her eyes on the prize in “Get Pounds”
West London artist Amun returns with the single “Get Pounds”, taken from her brand new EP Settling Scores.
If there was ever any doubt of Amun then may it be settled once and for all, for in her new release “Get Pounds”, the West-London artist means business. Taken from her brand new EP Settling Scores, the latest outing by the rapper and singer-songwriter continues to showcase her undeniable talent.
Merging skittish R&B beats with bolshy bass tones, “Get Pounds” carries the effortless bravado of an artist that possesses the utmost confidence in her abilities. Seamlessly switching between rap and a smoothly pitched vocal, Amun’s new work is a celebration of her current moment in life. As with many a female rapper who has overcome the constraints of their scene to convey an experience that is unique to women within their music, Amun is eager to continue that theme in her native UK.
A personal mission to bring balance between the sexes and give female fans and artists the voice and recognition they rightfully deserve, Amun surmises her latest collection of tracks most succinctly with the following: “It’s ‘Settling Scores' with anything: with yourself, with whatever situation you may be in”.
