After a successful two and a bit years releasing consistently brilliant 7″ singles from the likes of Stay+, Star Slinger, Outfit and Zulu Winter (to name just a few), London based label Double Denim have announced the release of their first full length from none other than ex-Primary 1 conspirator Joe Flory and his new project Amateur Best. The album – titled No Thrills – follows on from Flory’s debut outing as Amateur Best back in February of this year with the single ‘Be Happy’ and drops on February 4 next year.
‘Too Much’ is the subtle yet totally engaging lead single from said album. Flourishes of feedback envelope and glide over the gentle electronic pop beats that skip and bounce against Florey’s croon. Released as a 7″ on January 13 2013 and b/w ‘Gads Job’, the limited edition pressing is available to pre-order now via the Double Denim store.
Double Denim will team up with Best Fit this New Year’s Eve for a very special party at Central London night-spot The Social. Full line-up is still to be revealed but needless to say it’ll be a very special night indeed. Early-bird tickets are available now priced at just £10 each.
