Go intergalactic with Alyss' extraterrestrial new banger "5D"
"5D" is a track that comes with a warning. "Hello. Please take your closed minds off at the door" an innocuous, robotic voice ushers before the whole thing jolts in with juddering, syncopated beats, off-kilter melodies and hallucinogenic entities.
When it comes to "5D", there are no boundaries and the possibilities are endless. The track sees Alyss push further than she ever has before culminating in a track that dives headlong into the black hole without knowing where it might all end up. It's ambitious, tirelessly creative and completely berserk, erupting and firing off in different directions when you least expect it to.
You never know where you stand, and at times it's discomforting and confusing which is, no doubt, the exact effect that Alyss wanted to have as she transports you into another dimension, taking away the safety nets and instead leaving you vulnerable to the elements.
Explaining the meaning behind the track, she says: "Some say that the planet is currently transitioning from third dimensional consciousness in to the fifth dimension and the troubles we are having personally and collectively are part of this shift - a massive, necessary purge internally and externally to step up our game as a species. The more I learn and observe within myself, the more it resonates. Making "5D" felt like a gateway to a more transcended state of being - a quantum way of thinking and living that has no limits. For that reason," 5D" still feels cryptic to me… I’m still figuring out exactly what it means to be limitless."
"5D" is the final song to be taken from her upcoming EP entitled 3EARTH, due for release on 21 April, a body of work that deals with the crises facing humanity as a whole. It's hardhitting, and by no means an easy ride, but there is always an element of hope to be found.
