Acid House Kings x Johan Hedberg – This Heart Is A Stone
In similar fashion to last year’s heavyweight vinyl re-issues of The Radio Dept.’s back catalogue, Stockholm based Labrador Records are giving the same treatment to three Acid House Kings albums. Limited to 500 copies each, Advantage Acid House Kings (1997), Mondays are Like Tuesdays and Tuesdays are Like Wednesdays (2002) and Sing Along with Acid House Kings (2005) will be released on 180g vinyl on August 28.
To coincide with the release, Acid House Kings have been asking fans to remix long-time live staple ‘This Heart Is A Stone’. Fan, friend and label mate Johan Hedberg of Suburban Kids With Biblical Names takes the twee classic and, somehow, makes it that little bit sweeter than before. It’ll either put a spring in your step or make you want to sacrifice a kitten: depending on your ability to handle cuteness. Play it loud enough and the sun might just come out.
