JONES delivers a masterclass in subtle balladry on the cinematic "Silver Screen"
"Silver Screen" revels in the simplicity of songwriting, putting the focus on JONES' timeless vocals and melodies.
Sometimes, less is more and JONES shows this age old slogan to be nothing short of the truth on the lead single to her new EP. "Silver Screen" is one of those songs that does not need any novelties or theatrics to make an impact and instead basks in the basic joy that can be found in a stripped-back set up.
JONES has already worked up a stellar reputation for her uniquely stunning brand of neo-soul, and on "Silver Screen" she shows another side to her songwriting, finding beauty in the very things that make us human. Her vocals stand in the limelight, somewhat vulnerably as she bares her soul for all to see, hitting that sweet spot that singers such as Alicia Keys have always been able to tap into.
The song is the lead single to her new EP, entitled New York, the second in a series of three EPs that each focus on a different city.
