The Line Of Best Fit Podcast [February 2011]
Apt that the shortest month of the year also sees the birth of our shortest ever podcast. Yes, we’ve decided to slim the whole thing down from a whopping 80 minutes to a more digestible 30 minute portion. A decision that wasn’t made lightly; how to condense a whole month of new music into a half hour selection? Nye on impossible my friends, but all the same – this is what we’ve come up with. From the strangely euphoric opening of Rainbow Arabia saddled up to Jeff The Brotherhood: melodically recalling Phil Spector-era Ramones with churning buzz saw guitars muddier than the banks of the Mississippi river. We’ve also got the first play of the brand new single by the The Head and The Heart; a band that puts a solid two fingers up to the MOR haters of the world and dives straight in with some unashamedly glorious dad rock vibes. There is literally something for everyone here. Enjoy.
