Ahh! The summer. Sun, the sound of leather on willow….. As we move in to August the UK’s promised ‘barbeque summer’ seems to have fizzled out rather, replaced by muggyness and rainstorms. Spare a thought though for Ottowa resident and Oh! Canada favourite Jim Bryson. The unseasonal deluge that hit his city on July 24th resulted in flood damage to his basement, which contained all his instruments. We hope some of the guitars are salvageable and send him our best wishes.

In the meantime, with Oh! Canada we’ve been continuing our search for the very best in Canadian music. This month’s compilation features 19 great tracks including songs from the forthcoming Hidden Cameras, Amy Millan and Volcanoless in Canada long-players, exclusives from Vancouver Nights and Luxury Pond as well as an appearance from the legendary Nardwaur the Human Serviette and his band The Evaporators.
